I have had this Jacket for around 6 months, using it regularly in Snowdonia, the Peak and Lake Districts for long day treks and overnighters in wind, driving rain and snow as well as for commuting and it hasn’t let me down. The DWR coating and fabric are like new, it hasn’t let any water in and is super breathable, this along with the fit and softness make it a super comfy jacket to wear all day long. I often wear it with a lightweight 30 litre pack and the material is holding up perfectly, much better than some other Goretex 3L jackets I have owned. Not having pit zips hasn’t been a problem because of its excellent breathability. Combined it with a primino base layer and decent mid weight insulation such as a fleece and or the Future Lite Hoodie and you pretty much have got a do it everything clothing system that you can take with you on your UK hill walking adventures with complete confidence.

The jacket is extremely light and comfortable. The hood is brilliant and the construction is what you expected from Montane. My only concern is the longevity of the product. It seems a bit delicate and probably on the border of light weight vs endurance. I find myself being over gentle with it. If they could beef it up a bit adding a little to the weight, include some pit zips it would be perfect. I don't understand why montane are so tight when it comes to pit zips.
