Description

For the majority of mountain activities and for 90% of the time, POLARTEC® Power Shield® alone is the most comfortable and effective outerwear. Blocking 98% of the wind, highly breathable, water repellent and extremely abrasion resistant, the Sabretooth has phenomenal potential. The advantages of a softshell are obvious; stretch for active comfort, less rustle than a hard shell, warmth without weight and weather protection. Featuring classic Alpine features; adjustable hood, venting pockets and active tailored fit, the Sabretooth is an outerwear jacket that gets worn, not carried.

Have used this many times, mainly in winter and spring as too hot for summer. Overall an excellent jacket, and love having 4 usable pockets. Only bugbear is that hood could fit better.

Used extensively in Scotland and Wales, as well as some alpine trips, this is the most versatile jacket I have owned. Excellent wind resistance, and enough water resistance to cope with the odd shower, it has become one of the few things that gets packed for everything without a thought. I can always put a heaver jacket on top of it, but it's generally good enough for most days Spring to Autumn
