As a proud member of EOCA, we help support conservation projects all over the world. EOCA supports valuable conservation work by raising funds from within the European Outdoor sector and promoting care and respect for wild places.

Since it was founded, over 10 years ago, over €2 million has been spent on 84 projects across 41 countries in areas from species protection to sustainable tourism with projects decided for by public vote.

To find out more about EOCA and their great work:

Since 2006, Montane has been the principle sponsor of the Montane Lakeland 100 race, the largest trail race in the UK. This race sees nearly 1000 runners take on the 100 and 50 mile courses around the beautiful Lake District.

As part of our commitment to the sustainability of the event and the local ecology we fully support and enable the Montane Lakeland 100 race to regularly donate to the Fix the Fells organisation whose team of skilled rangers and volunteers who repair and maintain the mountain paths in the Lake District with funding from donations and partners. Their path work reduces erosion scars and also helps protect the ecology and archaeological heritage of the beautiful landscapes.

At Montane we believe in the immense health and mental benefits of leading an active outdoor lifestyle, we encourage all our employees and athletes to be as healthy and active as they can, supporting and enabling them in their individual goals and activities.

As part of this initiative in 2017 & 2018 we got behind Trail Running Magazines #Run1000miles campaign to encourage the public to get active and challenge themselves to run 1000 miles over the course of the year. A number of Montane athletes, ambassadors and staff have taken the pledge and we’ll follow them throughout the course of the year here.
