Location: Northumberland HQ (UK)

Salary Range: £28,000 - £30,000 + Bonus

Position Overview

Montane is looking to recruit a Warehouse Manager to support the company’s rapid growth.

The successful candidate will manage a team of between 8-12 people and will report directly to the Finance & Operations Director.

They will be responsible for all processes within the warehouse environment, ensuring that they maintain an efficient and highly motivated team.  They must seek continuous improvement in themselves and the warehouse team.

This role is ideally suited to someone who has excellent planning and motivational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving purchase orders from suppliers
  • Entering received stock into the system
  • Maintain storage of goods
  • Manage stock control systems
  • Processing of customer orders
  • Liaising with customers and other departments
  • Recruiting, training and appraising staff
  • Monitoring key performance indicators
  • Planning daily, weekly and monthly work schedules
  • Ensuring quality objectives and delivery deadlines are met
  • Management of the HMRC Customs Warehouse
  • Process management, mapping and review
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety

A flexible approach to work is essential as the Warehouse Manager role will incorporate some overtime and weekend work to support the needs of the business during busy periods.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a warehouse management role
  • Highly organised and motivated individual
  • Ability to multi task and engage with internal and external teams whilst being deadline and process orientated
  • Performance management experience
  • Good knowledge of health and safety legislation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to cultivate and maintain strong professional relationships
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office and ERP systems (Sage 200, SAP, Oracle etc)
  • Passion for the outdoors and outdoor sports desirable
