JORDAN WYLIE’S 15x15x15: DAY NINE – NORTH YORKSHIRE MOORS

Day 9 and after a good nights rest, I was still feeling a long way from 100% but was keen to get back out there to complete the final leg “t’up north”, it was the North York Moors today. For me, this place was a bit of a hidden gem and if the truth be told I nearly missed it off my route plan, I had naively assumed it was just part of the Yorkshire Dales, some geography lessons needed for me I know! Day 1.          ... Read More

PROJECT 321: TIM’S DIARY 13.04-20.04.19

14.04.19 Everest Base Camp … home for the next 5 to 6 weeks or so.  I say ‘home’ … they’ll be various forays on the hill visiting Camp 1 and Camp 2 and getting well and truly acclimatised. When we’re on the hill, despite trying, most people don’t drink enough, eat enough or sleep enough so Base Camp is a great sanctuary to return to after each rotation.  Enjoy the view … https://www.mountainpanoramas.com/___p/___p.html?panoid=2014_M1&fbclid=IwAR0s3gTDWoAr-osAXAIPlF2FdT_NkK7tPEHzHg8oyPrCxxUH7mfbycIMhUc 15.04.19 Loitered at Gorak Shep for a couple of hours yesterday until the snow cleared and then... FASTEST KNOWN TIME

The FKT or Fastest Known Time has become a massive deal in the ultrarunning world. Daniel Neilson dissects the pros and cons and offers advice on attempting your own. FKT is in danger of sounding like a New York fashion label or the latest Bay Area app. But the idea of FKT or Fastest Known Time has become one of the biggest phenomenons in endurance racing, mountaineering, ultra running and in almost every self-powered outdoor pursuit. Yet, it is not without its controversy. The FKT is essentially a speed record... Read More

JORDAN WYLIE’S 15x15x15: DAY FOUR – LOCH LOMOND & THE TROSSACHS

I woke up on the banks of Loch Lomond today at around 0600, this National Park boasts some of the most stunning scenery in the world. From breathtaking mountains and glens to the vast tranquil beauty of the Loch. It was simply incredible, I seemed to have the whole Loch to myself so decided it would be rude not to take a bath and make the most of this delightful opportunity! Day 1.           Day 2.          Day 3.          Day 4. ... Read More

JORDAN WYLIE’S 15x15x15: DAY TWO – SOUTH DOWNS

I woke up this morning to the realisation that it would probably be my last night in a proper bed for the next 2 weeks. I made the most of it and set the snooze for another 30 minutes. If I told you my legs weren’t feeling the effects of yesterday’s 26.2 miles in the New Forest, well I would definitely be lying. This could be tougher than I envisaged after all… Day 1.           Day 2.          Day 3.          Day... Read More
