Outdoor Enthusiast‘s Winter 2017 issue contains some exciting news for our men’s and women’s Alpine Equaliser Jackets.

In a softshell jackets round-up, the Alpine Equaliser Jacket won three out of four possible awards. Testing by Dan Aspel and Jen Roberts centered around breathability, comfort and use in high intensity activities in colder, windier conditions.

In the men’s category, Dan found that the Men’s Alpine Equaliser Jacket offered ‘a host of pleasing details and features to enjoy’, from the fabric and lining, to the size of the pockets. He was particularly struck by the hood, which is a fully adjustable, climbing helmet compatible, with a wired peak and a tall collar for additional face protection.

His found the jacket perfect for ‘cool weather, high intensity pursuits’ and handed it both Outdoor Enthusiast’s ‘Editor’s Choice’ and ‘Best Buy’ awards.

In the women’s category, Jen appreciated the soft microfleece lining with its breathable properties, the two way front zip and the hood design – like the men’s jacket, this is fully adjustable, climbing helmet compatible and includes a wired peak and tall collar.

Her verdict was that the Women’s Alpine Equaliser Jacket delivers ‘well-designed weather protection in a breathable package’. She awarded it Outdoor Enthusiast’s ‘Editor’s Choice’.
