Does what it says on the tin
After buying these pants I went on holiday to the French Pyrenees, they were excellent for summer trekking; their ventilation was brilliant as my legs didn't over heat in the harsh climate. Plus the stretch fabric kicked in when scrambling arose, they allowed me to climb up the rock without hesitation of movement in fear of splitting my pants. So far they have been a great investment, absolutely chuffed to bits about this product.

I've had my Terra Pants for nearly 4 years now, and they are still going strong. They are ideal for summer walking/climbing as they dry extremely quickly when wet, and maintain good ventilation around the legs (helped by the air vents on the thighs). They are extremely durable: the only damage to mine was caused by crampons - countless climbing trips, camping, walking and some everyday wear hasn't caused any damage whatsoever. To be honest, you can't really fault them - I guess the belt strap occasionally gets in the way when it comes untucked, but otherwise they're great. When mine wear out I'll certainly be getting another pair.

The best of the best?
I am quite well known by my friends for trashing my kit, however this stops with my terra pants! I have had a pair for 3 1/2 years now and they look as good as new after all of the abuse I have given them. They've been to north, eastern and southern Africa, the European Alps, the Himalayas and all over the UK on various mountain trips but have very little evidence to show this. They act like a softshell but aren't a true softshell - just a comfy, simple design that works brilliantly. That's what I like so much. When my current pair eventually wear out, I will be replacing them like-for-like!
Simply the BEST Mountain pants for adventures below the snowline
I have had a pair of these pants for over ten years now (as well as buying 2 more pairs in the interim) and they are still going strong. They have been rock-climbing, hill walking, trekking in Nepal, ski touring, scrambling and stood up to some consistent abuse. Sure, I have put a few holes in them (they repair easily), but they still look, feel and perform great. The design is outstanding; comfortable, lightweight and durable, with useful venting options. They are the first bit of leg-wear I reach for when packing for a trip.

Perfect for a days cragging
Light-weight, tough with plenty of freedom of movement make these trousers ideal for rock climbing! Have had my pair for a year and have no complaints.

No other trouser I have tried before can even come close to matching the performance of these. I use them primarily for my hillwalking and outdoor rock climbing activities but they look that good I do also wear them during my general every day life! Very good water resistance, excellent at wind-proofing (yet also equally as comfortable in the heat thanks to the zip down thigh vents) and extremely quick to dry when wet. I would definitely buy again!

Great for mountain biking!
All the features on these trousers like the cut, reinforced areas, and the ankle adjustment make them an ideal choice for winter riding. Couldn't get on with the fit from other manufacturers but these are perfect!

Terra pants in Mountain Rescue
These trousers have been superb for my activities with Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team and for my own adventures in the Bowland and Lakeland fells. They have proven to be hard wearing for the walking and climbing I do on operations and training with MR, keeping me comfortable in summer and winter, plus the pockets are fab for all the items I need i.e. radio, phone, compass and a map. I have two, and keep recommending them to team mates and friends.
