Montane choose Entrant DT fabrics from Toray of Japan for lightweight 2.5 layer waterproofs where light weight, packability and breathability are key. We are not alone in choosing this technology, some of the largest outdoor clothing manufacturers also choose Entrant DT, they don't always say so but often use the 'DT' letters in their own brand name for fabrics.

Entrant DT fabric is coated with microporous polyurethane which has a Dry Technology (DT) finish. There are 3 grades of Entrant DT of which we choose the 10,000 version which perhaps not unsurprisingly has a 10,000mm hydrostatic head.

Caring for Entrant DT

All Montane garments have a printed care label permantly attached with care instructions shown, follow these and you'll not go far wrong. The key principle is to keep you gear clean to get the best possible performance.

Over time the Durable Water Repellancy (DWR) will be diminished by washing and wear and can be restored by using Nikwax cleaning and reproofing products, see www.nikwax.com for further details
