Many of us at Montane have been involved in challenging and inspiring expeditions, whether it be being the first european to climb a himalayan peak, paddling one of the greatest rivers in North America or leading Operation Raleigh expeditions in Chile.

We recognise that expeditioning and discovery is a primal instinct of man and that we should, if we possibly can, do something to promote and initiate expedition.

What we are creating, starting in 2010, is an annual Expedition Bursary. This is our way of giving something back and keeping the expeditioning spirit alive.

We are offering up to £3000 worth of gear to the winning expedition.

In order to be considered you will need to apply in writing to marketing@montane.co.uk and provide information on the following -

# the aims and objectives of your expedition, the team and their skills / experience

# when it is (must be during or commencing in the later half of 2010)

# why you believe it is special / worthy of support / suitable for Montane sponsorship

A winner will be chosen at the end of June 2010 and the details posted on this site
